Kristina Muñoz is a 27-years-old Children illustrator from Seville (Spain) and currently resides in the United Kingdom. She was always fascinated by Classic tales and the beautiful illustrations around them. Kristina followed her childhood ambition and studied Fine Arts, specialized in Painting. In 2009 she went to Rome to study her last year of Fine Arts and her first book was published. She got a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art curator and wrote a thesis about the critic as an artist.
Kristina uses to paint with watercolors and ink, sometimes she adds details in Photoshop, but she prefers traditional techniques.
Kris-Tea (as she is called because her love to tea) has ten published books and the list keeps growing. One of her last books, “Mr. Nightingale”, published at the end of 2012, has been translated to several languages. Kristina can’t imagine a life without books to illustrate!

Kristina Muñoz (27 anni) è una illustratrice per bambini di Siviglia (Spagna) e al momento vive nel Regno Unito. E’ sempre stata affascinata dalle storie classiche e dalle loro bellissime illustrazioni. Kristina ha seguito la sua ambizione d’infanzia e ha studiato Belle Arti, specializzandosi in pittura. Nel 2009 si è spostata a Roma per il suo ultimo anno di studi e ha pubblicato il suo primo libro. Ha conseguito una laurea specialistica in Curatore d’Arte Contemporanea e ha scritto una tesi sul critico come artista.
Kristina di solito dipinge con acquerelli e inchiostro, a volte aggiunge dettagli con Photoshop, ma preferisce le tecniche tradizionali.
