Marina Ćorić comes from Zadar, Croatia. Since youngest age she knew she wanted to be an artist. It was primarily traditional art she was interested in but in recent years she became also very interested in photography. She attended an art school and finished it as a fashion designer. Recently she also finished a course on graphic design and now she is planning to enroll in an Art Academy.
Her drawings and paintings are usually reflections of her current emotional states. Mostly they are surreal but with an obvious expression of feelings – either love or sadness. In her photographic work she also tries to create surreal and emotional atmospheres either by playing different characters in her self-portraits or by capturing strange and unusual details in everyday life and things around us. Darkness, sadness and cats dominate over her illustrations and photography. Cats are her eternal source of inspiration.

Marina Ćorić è di Zara, in Croazia. Sin dalla più tenera età ha sempre saputo di voler essere un’artista. All’inizio si interessava principalmente di arte tradizionale, ma negli ultimi anni si è molto appassionata di fotografia. Ha frequentato una scuola d’arte e l’ha conclusa diplomandosi come stilista di moda. Di recente ha concluso anche un corso di grafica e ora sta progettando di iscriversi all’Accademia d’Arte. I suoi disegni e dipinti di solito sono il riflesso dei suoi stati d’animo del momento. Per lo più sono surreali ma con una evidente espressione di sentimenti – siano d’amore o di tristezza. Nei suoi lavori fotografici prova inoltre a creare atmosfere surreali e cariche di pathos, sia impersonando diversi ruoli negli autoritratti, sia carpendo dettagli strani e insoliti nella vita di tutti i giorni e nelle cose che ci circondano. Oscurità, tristezza e gatti predominano nei suoi disegni e nella sua fotografia. I gatti sono la sua eterna fonte di ispirazione.
